Ignorance Never Hid a Thing
Thunderous silence speaking a thousand words,
Before pointed fingers and I-hate-you’s came into play
and pain, splattered in poisonous hate.
Before broken dishes scattered upon linoleum floors,
fallen soldiers caught in the crossfire of daggered stares.
Before everything there was the calm before the storm,
the stillness of held breathes hoping for the best
while hearts scream "Dear God what have we done?"
Who’s to blame for the mistakes we’ve made?
