There's a thread of light

Coming through the closed door

This room of darkness

Has been my whole world

There's nowhere to turn

When you can't see at all

But there's this line of light

Breaking through this black wall

What's behind this closed door?

Am I fit for its light?

I don't know whats in store

But I'm sick of this life

Darkness begs me to stay

But I'm through with its games

I don't want to stay

In darkness when I can see the light.

I reach for the door

But then I hear a knock

Who could it be?

Looking for me?

I open it up

And to my surprise

My Jesus stands

with arms open wide

"I'm behind your closed door

You were made for this light

Trust I know what's in store

I've got plans for your life

Darkness pulled you away

But with you I'll stay

Don't you want to stay?

Come and be in my light"

There's a Lord of light

Holding me in his arms
