Okay, yet another poem written for my idiot of an english teacher. We had to make a list of all the things that reminded us of our sophmore year at school and turn that list into a poem. This is how mine turned out. Lemme know what you think.
Brea
Comes and Goes
The opening of squeaky doors,
The rolling of screeching gates,
Another year begins and ends.
New classes, old friends,
Brand new books,
And endless tests.
A joke here,
A whisper there,
Secret glances in the halls.
Doing chores, the dishes and laundry,
Thoughts on other things.
Laughter over lunch,
Warm hugs at the bell.
Sloppy kisses and quiet giggles
In deserted halls.
Home again to laugh and sigh
“True love doesn’t die.”
Another year comes and goes,
No different than the last
But my family, friends and love
Make this one seen the best.
