The air around him muffled his hair, causing the brown locks to tangle in a muss. A shiver made it’s way up his spin as he contemplated her arrival. Rubbing his hands together for warmth, his thoughts thickened at the sight of her, hurriedly pacing towards him.
Fighting a wave of anxiety, he pushed himself of the tree trunk he had been leaning against and lazily walked to meet her.
“Took y’a long enough. May I ask what the devils you where doing that caused you to leave me waiting for almost an hour?”
Her light brown eyebrow rose in an haughty curve and she gave him a scowl.
“No. You may not ask,” she paused swallowing hard at the lump that had formed in her throat. Her plum lips quivered a bit, her eyes blinked rapidly, as if she wanted to say something, but not quite knowing how to say it. “It’s damn cold! Why did you choose such a place to meet? Eh?”
His face tensed at the sound of her tone, deeply vexed and irritated, as if all this was his fault!
“Why did you come?” he asked.
“You asked me to come” she pointed out with a wave of her hand, as if pushing the question away.
His eyes narrowed, “You could have said no. You could have just not come, I never forced you…”
Silence fell over them as he waited patiently for her to collect her thoughts.
Why had she come? Had she had any sense she would have denied his offer the minute it passed through his lips. Instead, she had jumped to the offer he had made of meeting him secretively in the forest, as if he were an old friend she had to tell something of grave matter.
But he wasn’t an old friend, he couldn’t even be placed in her category of sorta, kind of, “pleasant.” She didn’t like him at all actually. He, with his arrogant looks and superior facade, or at least he thought he was superior to her. Pfff! The prospect almost made her laugh.
But only almost.
She was annoyed by him entirely, yet she couldn’t get enough of him. And here she thought she understood herself best.
Finally coming to the conclusion that she had no reason for showing up, she blunted frankly. “I don’t know really. I guess I was curious to know what exactly you wanted to meet me for. And here of all places.”
The response caused a devilish grin to form on his lips, his blue eyes began to sparkle with mischief, as if he had been toying with her the entire time, and just now it starting to amuse him.
His gaze caused her knee’s to weaken, turning them to butter. She could feel her body wobble lightly and she fought to hold a stern stance.
“So? What is it? Why did…” her words died out as she felt his fingers intertwine with hers. His touch was so gently, so smooth that it shot bolts of electricity through her arm and down to her stomach.
His eyes became heavy lidded, each blink exposing a depth of lust inside of them.
“I needed to tell you something” he murmured huskily, his breath brushing lightly over her pink cheeks.
Even though the air around them was icy and frigid, his body radiated a glow of heat, extending to hers as he inched closer.
The nearness of him, his lips only a few inches away from hers, caused her breath to speed. Her pulse quickened, her heart thumping so hard on her chest she was afraid it would bust out at any moment.
Her reasoning absent her, all thoughts of anything else, the forest, the freezing wind around them, even his last words, all dimed into nothingness until it was only them standing in front of each other. A black scene surrounding them both, and only he had light enough for her to see.
And then, all quieted as his lips descended themselves upon hers. At first, it was just touched, as light as a feather, and for a few minutes his kiss was as virgin as she was.
And then, he began to slowly caressed her mouth with his, the lump of skin stroking softly over her skin, causing sparkling friction between them.
His hands came around her, one placed like a stone behind her neck and the other like a blanket on her back.
He caused her sweet bitterness inside, tormenting her with a soft embrace that roughly tightened her within.
Hesitantly she carried her hands over his cheek, trembling as they touched his warm visage. He was evenly tanned, his skin stretching plainly with such softness it tickled the tips of her fingers.
A moan tore from her lips as she felt his mouth reach her collar bone, his tongue flicking frivolously over her low cut dress until it reached the curve of her breast.
“No. Wait,” she breathed, but she denied him nothing as his fingers unbuttoned her gown. Her struggle weakened as his gaze fell on her, his eyes devouring her figure.
“My sweet, we cant do this here, not like this,” he said, his voice sounding raggedy and rough in her ears.
Her daze broke lightly, her mouth trembled. “Da-Damn straight we cant do this here. In fact w-we cant do this period.”
There eyes locked together, his eyes turning icy blue with desire. She knew, with just one look at him, that she could deny him nothing. No matter how she disliked him, or how rude he was towards her, when he touched her it all seemed to dissolve. Everything disappeared and they both became two different people. Strangers that knew each other so well.
The thought of allowing him to ravish her, to have his way with her body the way she herself wanted him too, scared her, causing panic to rise in her unsteady brown eyes.
Forcing himself to reply, he spoke. “Alright,” he said, his gaze glued to the tree behind her.
She somehow sensed that he was lying, that though he promised not to take her in now, he would later come back, and he would get what he wanted. He, she had come to know, was not a man who was refused anything.
With a violent gulp, she pushed him away roughly.
“Get of off me,” she said, her eyes daring him to disobey her request.
True to his word, he pushed himself of, his warm body that had once covered every edge of her, now pressed away. Cold air entered the empty space between them and she had to bite her lips to keep from screaming at him to hold her again.
A mawkish look fell upon his face as he began to re button her dress with a velocity that astound her. He must have done such a thing to many girls before, she thought.
“It’s late” he said once he was finished. She looked up to find his expression blank, though his eyes where misty with far away thoughts.
“I should go….Try not to pursue me at any case, I don’t want anyone suspecting anything” she paused, composing herself quickly.
She turned and began to walk away, then stopped as she remembered what he had said.
“Oh, I forgot, what was it that you had to tell me?”
He looked up at her innocently, his eyes glowing with a tinkle of mischief.
“I don’t know what your talking about”
A whole lot of nothingness.
