Balance

Equal for equal,
for equal is not.
Balance inbalanced;
Chaos in iron rot.
Hot and cold,
no warm in between.
Black and white;
Faded to gray,
Gray and long lost.
Broken and unforgiven
Chaotic nothing,
For nothing consumes.
Why does nothing consume?
For everything is not.
Balance for balance,
Because balance is true;
There can be no doubt of that.
For love to live there must be hatred and evil,
Else we'd not ever know the difference,
And no good nor bad would ever exist.
For happiness must live sorrow,
And for pleasure be there first is pain,
As no one person can distinguish one without the other -
Comparison, perhaps, a necessity for certain knowledge,
Or balance, for balance exists whether we see as that or not.
