Beep… beep… beep…beep… I roll over in bed and hit the snooze button on the alarm clock for the alarm clock for the third time and roll back over under the covers. Suddenly, someone pounces on me and I shoot up out of bed and scream in surprise. “Morning, sleepyhead,” A sickeningly sweet voice calls, “it’s time to get up!” It’s way too early this morning for her to be all sing-song and cheerful.
“Jaina, go away!” I call as I slip back under the covers.
“Abby, who are you talking to?” A lump under the covers of another bed in the corner of the room calls. My little sister pokes her head out and looks at me tiredly.

I resist the urge to gag and grab Jacen’s shirt, dragging him down the stairs because seeing a sandwich floating in mid-air might freak my parents out just a bit. I turn into the kitchen, intent on shoving the darn sandwich down the disposal, but froze in mid-step when I saw the state of the kitchen. It looked like a twister had suddenly formed in the kitchen. Food stuck to the counter while liquids dripped off the edge. I stood there in a state of shock for a moment until I found my voice. When I did speak, I turned to Jacen and shouted, “WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
Jacen simply shrugged and shoved another sandwich under my face, “I made you one, too.”
I pouted wearily; the day had just begun…
