Passing by,

These frivolous dreams

That weren’t so frivolous

When they were all

I had seen.

--

I catch a glance.

An abrupt romance

That ended in tears,

Continued with fears.

--

Wasted now,

The motive, the drive.

What happened to the force

That kept me

Alive?

--

I say goodbye,

A reluctant sigh.

Reality’s hollow,

Too large to swallow.

--

Nothing’s the same but the game,

The same smile that flashes

And quickly fades

I do not know what to make

Of anything.

I do not know how to think

Without a dream.
