Mr. Collins looks up to find Elizabeth curled up, where she was previously sitting, fast asleep. He approaches her and shakes her arm softly in an attempt to wake her, but she doesn't move. He sighs and picks her up carefully making sure not to drop her before setting her on the bed and pulling the covers up over her small body. He then turns off the light and climbs into his own bed before falling asleep.
Elizabeth wakes up to the bright light shining through the single porthole in the room. She stretches and rolls out of the bed vaguely aware that she is still in her clothes from the previous day. She looks over to find Mr. Collins still asleep in his bed and decides that she'll go and take a shower and prepare for the day before waking him.
Once Elizabeth finishes her shower and dressing herself she returns to the room to find Mr. Collins still soundly asleep. She toys with the idea of waking him before walking to his bed and shaking him gently.
"Mr. Collins?"
Mr. Collins stirs in his bed slightly before groaning and pulling the covers over his head. Elizabeth shakes him once more beginning to get frustrated.
"Mr. Collins it is time to get up."
Mr. Collins groans again and pulls the covers down to stare at her.
"Miss Elizabeth what is the reason why you are waking me up at such an hour?"
"The sun is out Mr. Collins and nearly halfway into the sky. We've already missed breakfast and if you do not hurry up we will miss lunch today as well."
Mr. Collins groans one last time before rolling out of the bed and walking drowsily towards the bathroom.
The days pass by and soon the ship is on it's way to its final destination, America. Elizabeth is both eager and nervous to be taken to the new place. Mr. Collins is worried that in such a fragile body that she will not fare well through what the call the seasoning stage of her new life in America. Elizabeth feels that it is nothing to fear while Mr. Collins holds back the details of what exactly the seasoning stage will mean. Elizabeth is curious as to what her new home will be like and how the people there will be, but even more so she is dreading having to meet up with Mr. Gaites again.
Elizabeth and Mr. Collins step off the boat with their luggage in hand and walk towards the end of the dock where a carriage is waiting for them.
"Mr. Collins is good to see you're well and I suppose this must be the payment you spoke of for Mr. Moore."
"Yes Alex she is. Does Aaron really trust letting you being so far away from home. You're new on the farm aren't you?"
"Yes I am Mr. Collins, but it seem Mr. Moore trusts me. I've proven my worth so shall we be off now?"
"Yes we shall. Are you ready to go home Miss Elizabeth?"
Elizabeth merely nods and gives her luggage to the man Mr. Collins called Alex before climbing into the carriage with the assistance of Mr. Collins and soon they were off headed towards her new home.
