Alone

A second passes somewhere someone died,

Another second somewhere begins the life of a child,

No mourning tears have your eyes cried,

Nor in celebration have you smiled,

You feel isolated and you don’t care,

But the world’s still happening all around,

Though you missed it with your stare,

Other foot prints have marked this ground,

So go live your life as you think best,

Be it compassionately or with a heart of stone,

You can try to differentiate from the rest,

But you can’t forget you’re not alone.
