Wish

I once dreamed I could fly,

Until I felt the grass on my bare feet,

I once dreamed I could weave a lie,

Until I learned it was lonely to be discrete,

I once wished to be strong,

Until it got boring winning every fight,

I once wished I could do no wrong,

Until I learned that would leave no right,

My wishing days are done,

I’m now content to be,

My greatest goal has been won,

And that’s just being me.
