I was recently on vacation at my cabin up north. I only had my acoustic because it was easier to travel with and had a much more cabin-y feeling. This is the resulting acoustic/folk song. Not my greatest genre, forgive me.
v1:
Take this light
a little brighter
raise your arms
a little higher
sing this song
like like the snowfall of my heart
you wouldn't try
any harder
watch the world
a little longer
from the window
of my soul and fall apart
chorus1:
I know that theres a catch
It's not that easy
to take back
but while were living
let us live for all it's worth
(solo)
bridge:
take time to reach the end
but just keep runnin
round the bend
make time to take advise
from the fools who
should think twice
v2
say my name
while I'm over
pull me close
I'm going nowhere
remember me
at the crossroads in the dark
state the facts:
you never loved me
you never did,
you only hugged me
when you needed
a shoulder and the warmth
chorus2
I know that theres a catch
It's not that easy
to take back
but while were at it
let us love just to get hurt
(short little interludes-because interludes pwn!- then possible repeat of chorus 1)
