A lone daisy weeps.
Milk white pearls so fair drip down,
Envying the rose.
As if her prayers are answered
Scarlet beads consume.
Snowy petals stain with blood.
Now she stands with them,
Lost among a ruby sea;
A daisy no more.
A/N: I'd like to say that this is a haiku/reverse haiku/haiku, but I'm sure that it technically isn't. I don't know much about the technicalities of haiku, I simply like to use the syllable count to keep my poems structured and concise.
I'm intersted to see how readers interpret this. As always, constructive critisism, and reviews in general, are greatfully accepted.
