Small Town
Story

Feeling a cavity within me and wondering what had fit there, I told myself a story. “There is a small town,” I said to myself, “where nobody ever leaves. In this town, the people never say 'Goodbye,' but instead say 'I'll see you soon,' because this statement is always true.” To tell this story took an effort disproportionate to its length, and I soon fell asleep, because it was late at night and nobody was with me to keep me awake.
