Early Morning Reveries
By Winged Poetess
Dawn engulfs my listless body
As I lie in my silk cocoon.
Beside me I only find your silhouette
as nothing more but a lingering ghost.
Last night our mouths danced,
leaving my body restless
echoing my heart’s desires.
Weakness curves my lips
remembering the way you laughed,
a sweet tickle in my ear.
Coupled
with a faded movie reel
etched in my mind.
