Shadow

I've been held down too long
Lost my spirit when I lost you
But it's time to rebuild this empire
To try and remember who I was when I was strong
And finally surrender to something new
Finished climbing the mountain; the view I can now admire

Because I refuse to live in the shadow
Hidden by my fear
It's time to break out into the daylight
And wipe away the very final tear

I've been working far too hard
Lost my vision when I lost you
But it's time to rebuild my life
To try and forget even though I am scarred
And see the light coming through
I am putting down doubt's knife

Because I refuse to live in the shadow
Hidden by my fear
It's time to break out into the daylight
And wipe away the very final tear

I've been living only for tomorrow
Lost my passion when I lost you
But it's time to let go now
To free myself from my suffocating sorrow
And do all the things I want to do
But I've seen the light and I'm moving on now

Because I refuse to live in the shadow
Hidden by my fear
It's time to break out into the daylight
And wipe away the very final tear

I refuse to live in the shadow of my fear
I'll wipe away this final tear.
