Hi folks and welcome to my second (fifth since I got the idea) of Minako of the Star Galaxy. Because of the flaws, bad spelling and grammar, and the lack of background and description I’ve began a re-write and decided to just re-create the series.

This is a new version of the story so there will be a few things I keep the same (like the plot and character personalities except Azumi and Hari) but there will also be differences (the beginning will definitely be different and things will be taken slower and the chapters will be longer.) You’ll notice the beginning is much different than the original as I’ve taken some helpful advice and will add more depth and be more descriptive. Hey I used to and I’m still an amateur but I will get better over time I promise.

Well I guess that’s it so please enjoy the new version of Minako of the Star Galaxy.

Fifteen years ago in a galaxy known as the Star Galaxy the capitol was invaded by the evil Lord Kumo. There was much chaos and destruction until finally everything was left in turmoil. However the galaxy’s ruler, Queen Miyako, refused to give up and along with her remaining forces planned one final assault on the evil lord. After a gruesome battle Miyako succeeded in sealing Kumo away but it cost her her life. Before her death Miyako’s husband Jun took they’re daughters Minako and Junko to Earth in another galaxy so that they would be safe until the moment came where the youngest and heir to the throne Minako would have to return to her homeland and become the ruler.

Chapter One: The Beginning

Minako Hoshi put her new school uniform on her dresser, excited that she was finally going into high school. She actually hated school though she was an average student but she was going to the same school as her best friends Noriko Kaneda and Azumi Anno as well as her year older prodigy sister Junko.

Though slightly jealous of her sister, Minako also looked up to Junko, she was always nice and friendly while good at nearly everything she did. The sisters rarely fought and got along fairly well. Minako also got along with her father pretty well though he was a bit over-protective over her which annoyed her. The only person she never met was her mother Miyako who died shortly after giving birth but was told that she was a lot like Miyako.

“Imouto-chan I’m coming in,” Minako suddenly heard and saw a girl with elbow-length green hair enter the room, “so how’s my baby sis feeling right now?”

“Hey I’m only a year younger than you Junko,” said Minako as she sat on her bed, “but otherwise I’m feeling pretty good.”

“Your not worried are you?”

“Of course not why would I be?”

Junko laughed as she sat on the bed beside her sister with her face saddening. “Mom would really like to see you right now,” said Junko, “I barley remember her but I know you look almost like her only your hair is light blonde while her‘s was dirty blonde.”

“I wish I could have met her,” said Minako in a sad tone,. “your lucky you did onee-chan.”

“Yeah but I barley remember her except I remember what she looked like and that she was so kind and caring.”

Minako decided that maybe she should change the subject. “So when’s daddy coming home?”

Junko’s face brightened up “No idea,” said Junko, “but he said he has something to give you when he comes home.” this made Minako curious but she knew Junko wouldn’t say what they’re dad wanted to give her. The two girls talked for a few more minutes until they heard the door open.

They went into the living room to see a man with a Japanese police uniform with a tired but cheerful smile on his face. He gave the girls a kiss on the head before plummeting onto the couch.

“I guess work was tiring today?” asked Junko as she and Minako set down beside him.

“Yeap the Crimson Knight made another robbery,” said the girl’s father Jun, “she’s one sneaky thief.”

“And as you’ve told us,” said Minako, “she’s also pyrokinetic.”

“I’m not so sure if she is but I know she can somehow use powerful fire attacks.”

“So daddy,” said Junko, “I believe you have a present for little Minako.” The blonde gave her sister an annoyed look before turining to her father, curiosity burining inside her.

“Oh that’s right I do,” said Jun as he stood up, “come with me Minako.” The blonde teen nodded and stood and followed her father to his bedroom. As she entered the room Minako quickly noticed the portrait of her mother Miyako on a wall near the door and stared at it with a sad look.

Jun noticed his daughter was staring at the framed picture as he pulled out a silver box from his dresser and as he walked to her, put his hand on her shoulder, knowing how she was feeling.

“Father what was mom like,” asked Minako, “I know you said I act a lot like her but I want to know more about her.”

“There isn’t much to tell that you already know sweetie,” said Jun, “but she loved you very much and if she were here she’d be very proud of you.”

“I know I just wish I could have met her,” Minako replied and noticed the box in her dad’s hands, “what’s in the box?”

“Something that belonged to your mother,” Jun replied as he opened the box and took out a black necklace with a white six-pointed star pendant on it, “this is a family heirloom from your mother’s side of the family and since you’re the youngest you get it next.”

Minako stared at the necklace before taking it out of her father’s hands and embraced him. “Thank you daddy,” said Minako, “I promise to take care of it forever.”

“You better,” said Jun, “I know you will sweetie.” As he hugged his daughter, Jun knew that it was only a matter of time before he had to reveal the truth to her and Junko-something he wished he didn’t have to do.

(The next morning)

“Come on sis,” cried Junko from outside, “we’re going to be late.”

“I’m coming onee-chan.” she heard Minako say and sighed as Minako came running out with a piece of toast in her mouth.

“Sometimes I wonder why I put up with you imouto-chan.” said Junko jokingly as Minako finished her toast.

“Sorry sis my alarm clock broke,” the blonde teen apologized as she got on her bike, “I hate that stupid thing.”

“So you’re wearing daddy’s gift on your first day?” asked Junko as she stared at the necklace Minako wore.

“Well I want to show Nori-chan and Azu-chan,” replied Minako as she and Junko began pedaling, “I’m so happy that we’re going to be together.”

Junko knew how important Noriko and Azumi were to Minako. The three met in pre-school and became fast friends and have been inseparable ever since. The three were like sister’s and Junko considered Noriko and Azumi her two other sisters and Jun considered them as daughters.

After a couple of minutes the two girls stopped in front of a huge building, the high school they would be attending. As Junko got off a group of fans gathered around her and Minako reminded herself that Junko was a prodigy. “Looks like I gotta go sis,” said Junko as she began to walk off as the crowd followed, “I’ll see you later.”

Minako waved back, felling slightly jealous and lonley. Suddenly someone put they’re hands over Minako’s eyes which startled her. “Guess who?” she heard but still punched whoever was behind her. She turned and saw a girl with long wavy orange hair in a ponytail on the ground.

“Oh my gosh,” Minako panicked as she recognized who the person was, “Nori-chan I am so sorry.”

“Hey it’s no problem,” said the girl named Noriko cheerfully as she stood back up, “at least I managed to surprise you.”

“And that’s a good thing,” the two suddenly heard and turned to see a blue-haired girl walk towards them, “because you have a pretty big red mark on your cheek.”

The three girls laughed as they headed into the school. “Hey girls did you here that the Crimson Knight struck again?” asked Minako which caused the blue-haired girl to get a small smile on her face.

“Oh really,” said Noriko curiously, “what she steal this time.”

“I heard it was a valuable ruby worth millions,” answered Minako as the blue-haired girl’s grin widened which Minako noticed, “Azu-chan what’s with the grin.”

“Oh no reason,” said the girl named Azumi, “no reason at all.”

“Hey Mina-chan,” Noriko said suddenly, “where’d you get the necklace?”

“From daddy,” said Minako as she grasped the necklace, “it’s a heirloom from my mom’s side and I’m going to make sure nothing ever happens to it.”

The two girls nodded, knowing how much Minako loved her deceased mother as they walked to they’re first class.”

(Later that day)

“Dad I’m home,” said Minako as she entered her house but got no answer, “I guess he’s at work and Junko’s still at school so I guess I’m home alone.”

Minako was about to head up to her room when she passed the door to the attic and felt something weird as she passed it. She stopped and walked back to the door and the feeling became stronger. She then heard footsteps which got her worried. Who could be in the attic? Burglars? Raccoons? Though scared Minako took a deep breath and opened the door which revealed a flight of stairs which she started to climb.

Once she reached the top she found herself in a room with at least fifty boxes but saw no one. She looked through the room but saw no one other than herself. She stopped for a brief second to search an area, not noticing a figure behind her.

He saw the necklace around Minako’s neck and his eyes narrowed and an evil smile appeared on his face. He sneakily and slowly walked behind the teenager and once close enough was about to grab her but she grabbed his arm, turned around, and kicked his leg which caused him to fall to the ground.

“Nice try pal,” said Minako, “but there’s no way I’m going to get grabbed that easily.” The man stood up and launched punch after punch but Minako managed to dodge before throwing a punch of her own. She kept punching and kicking before knocking him to the ground and threw in an extra kick just in case,

Minako though she’d won but then to her surprise the man’s eyes began to glow black and two creatures appeared beside Minako. She tried to kick them but to her surprise she just went threw them. The monsters then grabbed Minako arms as she tried to struggle to break free but found herself unable.

The man stood up and grabbed Minako by her shirt and his creatures vanished. “You’re a very stubborn girl and I’ll admit you throw a good punch,” said the man, “but my magic appears to be stronger than your combat skills.”

Magic there‘s no such thing as magic. thought Minako as the man let go of her shirt and grabbed her arm, what the hell does this psycho want from me? She didn’t say a word to the man as he held her arms behind her back and wrapped his arm around her chest to restrain her.

“Minako I’m home,” said a familiar female voice, “where are you?”

“Onee-chan.” screamed Minako, “I’m in the attic-” but before she could finish the man let her arms go and covered her mouth.

“Why are you in the attic?,” asked Junko from the bottom of the stairs but no answer which worried her so she climbed the stairs and saw Minako being held by the man, “Oh my gosh Mina-” but before she could finish another creature appeared and knocked Junko out.

Minako’s eyes widened in fright and worry as the creature again vanished. “Now that that’s over,” said the man as suddenly what looked like a portal opened up, “it’s time to complete my mission.”

The man, still restraining Minako, entered the portal but as he went threw it, Minako bit his hand which forced him to let go of her. She punched him in the gut and he drifted into another direction, leaving Minako to wonder where she was going. She saw a bright light up ahead and braced herself as she came closer to it.

Once she passed through the light Minako opened her eyes to find herself plummet to the ground but luckily she landed in a bush mostly unharmed. As she stood up and rubbed her back, she looked up and saw to her shock a pink sky with a bunch of stars in the sky.

Okay either it’s dark and the sky turns pink at night or I’m not in Japan anymore,” thought Minako as she looked at where she was, and maybe not possibly on Earth. Deciding that worrying wasn’t going to do a thing, Minako began too walk through the forest, wondering where she was.
