Happy In A Cage?

No one can save me

That much I’ve learnt

Alone I sit,

Inside my cage

I accept my fate,

For now.

Too tired, too scared

To try and break free.

I sway to music only I hear

Staring at the sky

Making faces out of clouds.

Wondering if it’s worth it,

If anything is worth the pain

That trying brings when you fail.
