(A/N: Whew! Well here I go! Next chappie is up as promised! Note: Italics are thoughts and in this case flashbacks. Focused on Eleanor a little more. She’s fun to write about (y’know with the responsible older sister thing) But since I’m not the older sibling, I have no experience, so lets see how good I am. ;)

Chapter 3

The Searching Journal

Isabella laughed at her journal entry, “That was fun...I should do that again with sis...” She was sitting on a bench, smiling down upon a page in her journal. Her laughter filling the room.

The sky was a clear light blue, the sun light shimmering over a little town called Frost Pine. Two figures walked steadily through the busy streets of their hometown.

“Umm...Bella? Where are we going?” asked the older twin, Eleanor. She wore a light brown long sleeve shirt covered in a light jacket. Her long red skirt and boots getting wet with slushy snow as they walked. Her sapphire eyes filled with confusion, her light brown hair moving side to side along with her footsteps, as the young girl in front of her pulled her sister’s hand.

“Don’t worry, we’re almost there!” called the younger sister, clad in a blue, long winters coat. She had a smile on her face as she heard the early morning bustling of shops opening. ‘I love this place!’ she thought merrily as she continued to pull her puzzled sister in and out of market shops.

Sighing in defeat, Eleanor continued to be pulled into random shops by her sister. ‘How did this happen?’ She recalled what conspired earlier this morning.

-

Good morning, Fay!” said an energetic Bella as she skipped up to the alter, where Fay was sitting down on a stool reading a book.(Presume a history book)

Fay looked up and smiled, greeting the bouncy girl. He then noticed Eleanor take a more normal entry. “Hello.” she said as she closed a book that she brought with her.

Hello, Bella and Ella, today I have a job for you to do.” he said grinning as he put in tactically the nicknames.

A job?” asked a curious Bella, eyes sparkling. She needed to do something!

Ella?” muttered Eleanor as she blinked at the smiling priest.

Yes, I need you to get some candles and other things in town.” He stood up and gave a list to the younger sister. Who accepted the job with a furious nodding of the head.

While the other sister just blinked and asked, “Ella...?” the older girl was in her own little world, she only vaguely understood the instructions as she nodded when Fay and her sister pressed.

Will you do it?”

Can we do it?”

...” she nodded again.

O.K! Let’s go, Ella!” cheered Bella as she grabbed Eleanor’s hand and started walking toward the exit.

The space case Eleanor only blinked.

-

“Hey, Eleanor, which color is better?” asked the cheerful sister as she held up two scarfs, one red, one blue.

“Huh?” asked the older twin as she snapped out of her memory jog. Dazed she looked at Bella with question written in her eyes.

“Ella, you got to stop spacing out like this! I’m asking you an important question, the red on or the blue one, which one looks better on me?” huffed the sister holding out the scarfs in both hands.

“Umm...Bella? Is this really on the list?” asked Eleanor with a sweatdrop, she jumped a little at her sisters response.

“Yes, it’s on the list.” muttered Bella as she stared at the two scarfs. ‘She’s clearly lying.’ stated the sister with a sigh. But having not seen her this worked up in a while, Eleanor decided to keep quiet. Smiling, she pointed to the blue scarf.

Nodding in confirmation, Bella walked up to the merchant that owned the shop they were currently in, and bought the item.

Events like this occurred throughout the day.

By late afternoon, Eleanor and Bella were carrying big brown bags that held trinkets of all sorts.

All of them not associated with the list. Eleanor was positive on that.

Sighing at the thought at how to break it to her, Eleanor finally saw Bella heading to a candle store. She blinked in surprise and headed after her.

Candle

The store was lit up by now, since the sun was setting behind the trees of Frost Pine. Entering the shop, Eleanor gazed around her in awe. Never had she seen so many candles in one place. She wandered around until she found her sister.

Bella was staring at an angle candle, Eleanor walked over and peered down at the candle;

The carving of the angle was magnificently clear, down to fine details. She smiled and said, not facing Bella, “you should look for the candle Fay thinks he would want in the church, ok?”

Bella looked over at her older sister, her shoulders slightly sagging, she knew her sister didn’t want it. She nodded and went off in search for the perfect candle.

Making sure that Bella was out of looking distance, Eleanor picked up the candle and smiled, “You sure are pretty...” she left to the counter.

Sister

“Aww...and she was really beautiful, too.” Bella said sadly, she was now getting the plain white candles Fay asked for and headed to purchase them.

As she exited the candle store, Bella noticed Eleanor carrying a bag, too. “Hey, what’s in there?” she asked, peering down at the bag.

“Ah, you know how Mom complains about never having enough candles...” said the older sister as she looked away at some other people passing by. “Anyway, we should go back to Eglise Noir, now, right?”

“Oh...right.” nodded the little sister as she smiled a small smile. They then walked out of the, now, quiet town.

Church

“We’re back!” called Bella as she opened the church door, she saw Fay, still sitting near the alter, reading the book.

“Welcome back, did you have fun?” asked Fay as he closed his book and stood up. He walked over to the twins and took the bag of candles. He smiled as he saw both girls nod.

“Yeah! Sorry we stayed out all day!” apologized Bella, she bowed slightly.

“It was fine, actually, you two needed a brake from cleaning.” laughed Fay as he placed the candles down on a bench.

“Well...I guess we’ll head out, now.” murmured the quiet Eleanor. She grabbed Bella and dragged her to the front door. “See you tomorrow!” she waved, as she and her sister got to the door.

“Yes, yes, good night, Bella, Ellie!” chuckled Fay as he heard a little ‘Ellie?!’ come from the older sister and a laugh from Bella.

Ellie

When they reached the gates, Eleanor stopped pulling her twin and handed out the bag with the candle in it.

“Eh?”

“For you. I got it at the candle store.” Eleanor said shyly as she gave it to her little sister. She was never good at giving gifts face to face.

“Really? Thanks!” Bella smiled and took the bag, she peaked inside-

“Ahh! Don’t look yet!”

“Why not?”

“Just don’t!” said Eleanor, flushing slightly, and stomping off in the direction of their house.

“Ok, Ellie!” called Bella as she ran ahead to the house.

“Hey! Not you, too!”

Snow slowly fell from the dark sky.

As laughter filled the night.

Journal Entry

When I got home that night, I squealed with happiness and hugged my big sister for the wonderful gift. I will never use the beautiful Angel candle I got from her. I also showed her the list, it was funny seeing the expression on her face as she saw it.

Blank, it was just a fun day for us. The whole family had a good laugh at that, Ellie even joined later, she did say she enjoyed it after all. I really loved this day!

Isabella Snow

P.S. Fay is a funny guy, though I like teasing Eleanor, too...
