I think the reason

it's so hard for me

to write poems of

my love for you is

that you never left

me like the others

all heartlessly did.

These parameters

need to be broken

while salvaging what

I generally

think of as my heart.

Five-syllable lines

are not the best way

of conveying my

introspective thoughts.

Mechanics aside,

we're running smoothly,

albeit without

much comparison.
