A little bird sat in his nest, waiting for something good to come along. A butterfly flew by and asked, “What are you waiting for?”
“I’m waiting for something good.” The little bird simply replied.
The butterfly flew off without another word. The little bird continued to wait. Along came a dragonfly.
“What are you waiting for?” she asked the bird.
“I’m waiting for something good.” Came the reply.
The dragonfly flew off. And the little bird continued to wait.
A bumblebee came by and asked the little bird, “What are you waiting for?”
“I’m waiting for something good.” The bird replied.
“Waiting will do you no good.” The wise bumblebee remarked. Then, he flew off.
The little bird pondered at that thought. Then, confused, he took flight, and flew higher than the clouds. What he saw was the most beautiful sunset he had ever seen.
