The Egyptian Cotton Symphony Orchestra Proudly Presents The Letter O
It all starts with a flurry of whispers,
the faintest hint of a pianissimo.
The first touch brings in the flutes,
fingers fluttering over skin,
hands quavering in anticipation.
Lips press against lips
like fingertips against ivory keys,
and soon the whole orchestra joins in
as a roll of the tympani matches
the two racing hearts.
A sudden accelerando to accompany the crescendo,
building, rolling, roaring
as skin touches hair touches skin,
creating the greatest of fortissimos,
until somebody
moans,
and the improvised symphony shatters.
It all ends with a flurry of sighs,
the faintest hint of a pianissimo.
