I wish the sun would go away
and the sky to be covered by clouds of gray.
Then I wouldn't see that golden light
that reminds me of hair just as bright.
The beautiful blue would be consumed by gray
so maybe I could forget eyes that will never look my way.
Oh come great despairing sea
and wash away all my memories.
I loved to deeply the blue and gold of above,
and now I fall on broken wings of love.
I fall past eyes that are blue as the sky,
never looking in love at me as I go by.
And lips that will never call
out in love for me as I fall.
Oh come, please come despairing sea
and wash away all my memories.
I've lost it all to love
all because I fell for an angel from above.
But the angel couldn't love a mortal like me
and now I fall with my tears into a despairing sea.
