I wrote this last year. Hopefully you like. It doesn't flow as well as my other rhyming poems, but it really isn't suppose to be. Every line is just looking at a different photograph.
Photo Album of Childhood
Pictures of me dancing in my overalls.
Of me singing in the shower.
Of when I would sit on a swing,
Picking the pedals off a flower.
Pictures of me blowing out the candles at each Birthday.
Of when I would play with Ken and Barbie.
Of me laughing on a bean chair in my denim skirt,
As I watched Barney on the TV.
Pictures of me in the park wearing my red keds.
Of when I would be captivated by my parents.
Of me coloring with crayola crayons,
Under my bed sheets, what I had called my tent.
Pictures of me as I smile showing my missing teeth.
Of me finger painting a turtle running a race with a fox.
Of me creating things out of Play-Doh.
Of me outside making mud pies in the sandbox.
Pictures of me playing kickball, tag, and dodge ball.
Of me at the carnival getting a star painted on my face.
Of me with my friends eating pizza,
At Chuckie Cheese's, our favorite place.
Looking at these photos, I remember how I had no worries.
I had no fears, I was carefree.
Living the best years of my life.
Where everyday I was happy...
Childhood.
Impossible to forget.
A part of your life.
You could never regret.
