Finally a sub-boss fight right in the beginning that featured two (not one but two) powerful sub-bosses that even make other bosses seem like child play. (If sub-bosses are like this then you must be wondering what the boss is like... I guess you be in one hell of a ride finding out). Also, if you read from my other stories already posted then you already know that I also pair two characters that will have noticeable features. One will have a reddish hair that shows his fiery personality and a bluish hair that shows his clam self-controlled demeanor. With this story, I took their personality and modified them to great length that clearly shows the difference of their unique styles of fighting. Well hope you enjoy this part... have fun.
Realm Chronicles Book 3: Demonic Rebirth
The Movie Story Prologue
Part 3 of 9
“Kiro, promise me that…”
-
The swordsman suddenly got attack from behind and the force catapult him forward through the tunnel. He entered in another opened room and landed on the ground as he rolled to a complete stop. He calmly got up to his feet and noticed somebody right in front of him. It was a male figure with deep red color hair that spiked in different directions all over the top of his head. He wore leather pants tucked in combat boots and an opened red silk vest that showed his tone chest and his six-pack abs. In each hand was a glove that had three long sharp blades which extended out from his knuckles.
He then heard footsteps from behind him, entering the room, and seemed most likely it was the one who surprised attack him. This one had dark navy blue hair that was pulled back into a long ponytail and had a bandana covering his forehead. He wore black baggy pants and a long trench coat that exposed his bare muscular upper body. In his right hand held a katana that was titled downward which had a chain attached to the bottom. It loop down and up to his other hand that he gripped the chain and was spinning in circles with a scythe-like hook at the end.
“The one in front of you is Zaichi, the Crazed Demon, a demon mad with killing every single human he laid his crazed lust eyes upon. My name is Kenji and my weapon is the Chained Scythe Blade, and we can not allow you to proceed any further,” the one behind him pleasantly informed the human.
“Get out of my way. I have no business fighting against the likes of you two,” the swordsman quietly said, gripping the hilt of one of his katana and using his thumb to pop it up.
“Those demons that you just fought were merely child play compare to the likes of us. It is you who should leave if you know what is in your best interest human. We ain’t bloody thirsty as those demons,” Kenji continued and Zaichi began to lick his blades. “Not as much though,” he continued, grinning at Zaichi, “And if you don’t go then we might have to do stuff that you may regret later.”
“Try me,” the swordsman muttered in annoyance.
“Oh, I will love it when I carved your body with my blades,” Kenji yelled out when he grabbed hold onto the spinning scythe.
“Die you human roach!” Zaichi roared in madness.
The two charged at Kiro with supernatural speed and reached him faster than he could predict them. Zaichi swung both of his hand blades while Kenji swung his katana downward. Kiro barely dodged the swings and quickly pushed off the ground towards the side. The two stopped and looked at Kiro that was getting both of his weapons out from his hips and had his back towards them. Cocky—was the only thing that was going through Kenji’s mind as he watched the human purposely leaving his guard down. Zaichi wasted no time and rushed right in. He was running low to the ground like a mad animal. He jumped into the air and Kiro turned around, easily blocking the demon’s fierce rapid slashes with only his two swords.
Kenji threw the chained hook towards the two while Zaichi amazing got of the way at the last moment and the blade cut opened a piece of the swordsman coat. Kiro moved out of the way of the returning hook and went back being on the defensive against Zaichi’s vicious speed attacks. The human swords suddenly got tangled in the demon’s three-bladed weapon and were yank out of his hands and was now unarmed. Kiro jumped back, trying to evade the demon’s quick attacks but the demon followed up, leaving no gaps. Kenji suddenly appeared from the side, swinging his katana and also using the momentum of missed swings to loop his chained scythe. Kiro tired to break free from this assault but they were working in complete sync and left little time to do any countering.
Finally, Kiro used his speed to vanish from his position but Zaichi easily caught up to him and began attacking almost constantly. Kenji stopped his assault from the disappearance and stood there, watching the two fighting along the upper walls of the cavern. He then sung the chain around his body and used the momentum again to send it flying towards the two at high speed. The scythe crashed into the walls as the two jumped away from it and Zaichi continued his aggressive close combat in the air. The swordsman being tired of being on the defensive took a risk and grabbed one of the demon’s wrists that were coming at him. Zaichi used his other hand to stab the human, but he somehow missed and Kiro caught the arm at his side, holding it there.
Kiro took this chance to immediately begin head-butting the demon in his forehead and forced him to stagger by the impact. After the third impact, the swordsman let go of Zaichi’s arms and then used his left fist to jab him in the stomach and then did a right haymaker to the face. The demon crashed into the ground by the sheer force creating a thick fog of dust and debris. A katana suddenly came down at Kiro and barely moved out of the way which only cut a single strand of his white hair. With the chained scythe spinning in his left hand, Kenji used his famous helicopter technique against the human. Kiro ducked, evaded, moved to the sides and anything else he could do to avoid being sliced apart by the katana and the chained blade.
After a while of dodging, Kiro spotted his swords across the room and tried to move towards them without causing suspicion or Kenji knowing where the weapons where. However, Kenji knew all along what the human was planning and already had a trap set out for him if he tried getting them. When they were within reach, Kiro dived for his two swords and he was within inches from grabbing them but they suddenly blew away by the sheer velocity of wind being produced behind him. Kiro rolled to his feet, noticing that Kenji was using the spinning chained scythe as a fan and was blowing the swords further away at every passing second. The demon laughed out loud as he continued to blow the weapons away and then Zaichi finally got up licking the sides of his mouth.
“Why don’t you use the other two swords instead of being a stupid inferior creature trying to retrieve the two that you lost,” Kenji laughed out loud and moved his spinning hook to the side.
Kiro only smirked at the statement and then stood calmly towards the two in his usual manner, “Because I only need those two swords to defeat you two.” As he spoke the last words, Kiro yanked both of his wrist which caused the two swords to slid across the ground and into his hands.
“How the fuck did you do that?” Kenji was shock and taken back, knowing that this human could have gotten his swords from the beginning. “Oh I see…you were playing with us from the start. Do you really think that we weren’t that much of a match and thought of us just walking stones to our master?
“I wouldn’t call you stones—more like pebbles.”
“You will regret that with your life saying that to us, pitiful human,” Kenji sneered.
“Come at me if you so incline.”
Kiro suddenly heard a loud howl from the darkness above the cavern and the lizard-like demons dropped onto the ground. He spun both of his swords in his hands in a complete loop before stopping them and then used his left sword to flick at them and provoke them to come. The demons came charging and started attacking Kiro with their claws but he just used one sword to block and his other to counter afterwards. Zaichi was getting tired of waiting as he rushed in again and grabbed hold of a demon that was in the way. He pulled the demon apart, spraying blood on himself and threw the two halves to the sides, doing the same thing to others till he reached Kiro.
The human rammed his blade through a demon’s mouth and then yanked it out, only tearing parts of the jaw off. He then turned around barely blocking Zaichi’s sudden attack and then continued blocking the demon’s renewed speed attacks. Sparks were created and flew everywhere as the cold steel of their weapons collided fiercely against each other in swift rapid sessions. Standing by himself, Kenji launched his scythe and it immediately manifested into a dozen more chained blades as they head towards the two. Kiro easily saw this reacting quickly as possible by twisting and turning his body making irregular movements while countering the two demons combined assault.
After one of the scythes crashed into the ground beside Kiro’s foot, barely missing, he spun both of his swords like fans which caused Zaichi to get blown back. Zaichi tried to resist the fierce winds but he jumped back and landed next to his partner, crouching low and licking his blades. Kiro took this delay to kneel down to one knee so he could rest, since he didn’t know if he could keep up with the two combined techniques. He had to take one of them out before he was taken out and from the way things were going; he had to do it quickly. He must find a way to counter their attacks and would not allow himself to fall against these two demons.
Kiro slowly stood up, resting the tip of his blades onto the ground and watched the two took stance as a cue for them to begin attacking again. Energy began leaking out from his body like mist and suddenly disappeared causing the ground he was standing to be heavily cracked. Zaichi unexpectedly appeared next to Kiro and seemed to be going almost the exact speed or maybe faster. The demon began thrusting his hands at the human alternately, trying to spear his blades into Kiro’s body but kept narrowly missing. Kiro watched the demon’s pattern to time his attack and quickly thrust his left sword downward while locking with one of Zaichi’s blades.
The blade easily pierced the ground deep and took Zaichi’s left hand all the way down with it, forcing him to kneel down. At that moment, Kiro let go of his sword, using the momentum to spin around and gripped his other sword with both hands. With the human turning, Zaichi took this chance to thrust his other hand blade forward but Kiro quickly dropped down, and propelled his blade from his shoulder. The sword immediately punctured Zaichi’s neck and Kiro tightened his grip on the hilt and arched the blade back over his body, slicing the demon’s head in half. He then quickly got up, spinning around once more and used his sword to thoroughly slice the head completely off.
Zaichi’s headless body slouched forward, and creating a pool of rich nectar of blood that was gashing hysterically around his body. Kiro quickly yanked out his other blade from being in the ground and instinctively turned around as he crisscrossed his swords in a split-second time. Kenji’s blade came down and Kiro caught the blade at the crossed point of his two swords. The demon used all of his strength to push his sword down and forced Kiro to fall onto his back while he held his swords in place to prevent the katana from reaching his head. With the human struggling, Kenji’s left hand let go of the hilt and grabbed his scythe from his belt and brought it down without hesitation.
Kiro reached quickly when he noticed that Kenji lessened the pressure and he pushed back with everything he had which knocked the demon onto his back. With Kenji now between the crossed blades, Kiro immediately uncrossed them to slice the demon’s neck in opposite directions with the head splitting apart from the neck and squirting out blood. The swordsman got off of the demon’s body and crawled for several feet until he collapsed onto the ground and began to breathe heavily with his chest rising and falling rapidly. He closed his eyes and laid there without moving an inch, resting from the battle that just occurred.
“So you made up your mind. There isn’t anything that I can say or do that would stop you from going? Fine, if I can’t persuade you to stay and you won’t let me go with you…then promise me one thing before you go.”
“Sure…”
“Kiro, promise me that you come back alive…”
Promise me that you come back alive was the only thing that was going through his mind at the moment. He had promise someone that he had to stay alive and he would keep his promise meaning dying was not an option. Kiro finally opened his eyes and got up by using his two swords to help him stand up and to balance himself. He walked over to the two demons lifeless body and slid his bloody blades against their clothes to clean them. Satisfied from cleaning, he spun them, placed them in their sheathed and head off towards the next exit; entering another tunnel. The draft was beginning to lessen as his clothes were faintly moving around his body and he closed his eyes walking forward.
He finally stopped when the wind disappeared and opened his eyes. He saw that he was out of the tunnel and appeared to be in another cavern room. This room was different from the others. The walls were rockier and steeper and towards the back in the center was a single throne. Sitting on it was what appeared to be a human figure but Kiro already knew who it was. Two white-feathered wings were extended from the figure back, going upwards and gave it a holy angelic look. It had the same body, the same long blonde hair with several strands covering his upper face which partially covered his narrowed and slanted cold glacier blue eyes. He wore the same thin silk slacks and a shirt that only covered his arms and part of his back that left everything else bare. It was the same person that Kiro vowed revenge on.
