Not Meant To Be Apart

They look into each other’s eyes.

They seem to be hypnotized,

And they don’t want to say “goodbye.”

She looks away

As tears fill her eyes.

He has something to say

Before they go

Their separate ways.

Though, he keeps it in his heart-

Knowing they will not always be apart.

They hug and he kisses her hand.

She knows in her heart that they are not

Meant to be apart.

This is my favorite poem that I have EVER written. I saw this scene play out in my head. Also, it kind of sounded familiar to me. I never lived something like this, but I think it would be sweet to. :)
