Just One Detour.
Chapter Three.
Just The End.

Blinking, Naomi was clueless on what the man was stuttered about. His voice was low and hard to understand. “You killed him!” the doctor yelled slamming the door shut.

“Who?” asked Naomi, confused on what had happened, still thinking it was all a dream.

Roger’s head shot up, letting Naomi see his whole face. “Help! Help! Nagisuke!” she shrieked, her eyes rolling back.

All at once, her memories drained her mind, taking her back years ago. Standing in front of her was a naked man walking towards her. He had a malicious look plastered on his face.

Young Naomi screamed, but her cries could not be heard. The only sound coming from the room was her heavy breaths and his malevolence laughter…

“Stop it, please, stop it,” pulling at her hair, Naomi closed her eyes and rocked forward.

“Naomi?” Ronald asked, holding the darkened man away from the confused woman, “Doctor!” he added shaking the baffled man vehemently.

“Nagisuke, what is wrong with them?”

Nagisuke, who was trying to calm his sister down shrugged, “I’m not a physiatrist! But, it’s liked they’re reliving the past, or some sort of hallucination.”

“Sir… what are you doing? Please, sir,” Naomi cried her body starting to pull into a ball. Silently, she cried, alone and lost, the only comforting thing was her breath, pacing faster and faster, but it was the only thing she could hear.

A jolt of energy came over Naomi and she found herself staring at her tall brown-eyed brother examining a clipboard. “Nagisuke, what happened?” she was normal, as though nothing had happened, and everything was just a dream.

Chuckling guiltily, Nagisuke pushed a few streaks of russet hair out of his face. “Well,” he began pulling the clipboard to his chest.

Looking at him strangely, Naomi shook her head; “It was a dream, right?”

“I’m not sure,” Nagisuke sat down next to his younger sister on the bed, “No one knows when you feel asleep.”

“You wrecked, or well ran into Wesley, remember him? And then you came here, Roger treated you, then he freaked out because you killed Wesley,” Nagisuke explained, watching Naomi’s face lose color and hope. “You didn’t though, the machine got unhooked.

“After he came in screaming at you, something snapped in your eyes, and you started to cry for help. No one knows what you were talking about, but Dad, he was holding the doctor back.”

“So Wesley, he’s all right?” Naomi asked regaining a smile.

The doctor nodded, “As are you… but not Doctor Tokens, he ran out of the room, and crashed into a cart of new scalpels and drills, for the dentists’ office across the street. It was odd, the delivery man had never made that mistake before… but he’d in surgery, they think he’s not going to make it, hit a main artery.”

“Roger, he raped me, when I was younger,” all of her brother’s words grew into anger, and her voice squeaked out. “That’s why, I remember freaking out, then going to sleep I suppose.”

“When you were littler, younger, Eleven years ago, Naomi, you said he did bad things to you, I remember, but you only told Dad. Well no one else believed you, because Roger was a fine doctor, and you were a ‘naïve’ child,” the words came out pasty and unfamiliar to Naomi. She sat staring at him like she had never seen him before.

Nagisuke laughed at his inability to make his sister feel better, “He looked for evidence, he still is; Dad that is. He has found something right when you called and said you had to take the detour at Chancing Wood, why do you think he had gotten there so fast? He heard Wesley scream.”

With wide eyes Naomi wobbled off the white sheets and tried to walk out the door. “I have to see him, he saved my life Nagisuke.”

Without another word, Nagisuke went over to his sister and helped her down the hall and to the elevator. Unable to conjure the words to ask how, Naomi answered the unasked question her sibling was thinking.

“It may have been a dream, but he was there, ready to save me when Roger captured me today. He made me relive all this pain. Look what came of just one detour, love, hate, sorrow, death. Roger had what was coming to him, and it was all because I dreamed of a way to stay with Wesley…”

A/N: I would actually love to dedicate this story to Shatter714. She was extremely kind to me, and reviewed JOD. Haha. Thanks!

Reviews are loved. And this is the final chapter, hope it lived up to everyone's expectations! haha.
