A Rainy Dream

She was sitting by her bedroom window watching the rain. She listened to the dripping and tapping sounds of rain hitting the window. She stared at the drops forming streams and running down, over, and back down to the window sill. She could see the trees, grass, and bushes getting drenched. A puddle was forming at the edge of the house up to two feet out, it was probably 3 feet long.

Staring at the big oak tree outside the house, and she let memories fill her mind. She remembers her first kiss in the rain. It was right under that oak tree. She closed her eyes as her memory took over her. She could smell a mix of the fresh rain and his cologne. Seeing his face clearly now, she could hear him softly whisper, “I love you,” along with the tapping of rain drops hitting the green leaves above them. She felt him pull her close as he hugged her and kissed her lips. She could feel the smoothness of his lips. The kiss lasted it seemed forever.

She suddenly felt a hard raindrop hit her head. She opened her eyes to see… the outside. She jumped in surprise and realized it was all a dream. Running to a mirror, she noticed she awoke as she bumped her head on the window. It left a sore on her forehead. She frowned and turned back around. She went to the window and watched the rain fall slower now. She watched until it stopped.

This was my very first attempt at writing a story. It's very short. I may one day choose to use this and lenthen it and turn it into something. I don't know though. I am glad I found it... I've been looking everywhere for it (I even looked on another computer that I sometimes use.) It feels like I wrote this a long time ago, but it was only a year and a half ago. April of 2007.
