Moving Earth

-

You tell me everything’s fine

When all hell breaks loose

And when I don’t know

What I should do next

You tell me I’ll be alright

When I feel the tightening noose (around my neck)

And when I just don’t know

What to next to expect

You tell me it’ll all be okay

It’ll all be alright in the light of day

If you say its so then I’ll believe it all

You’ve never lied to me before

-

You kiss me to comfort

You’re my amnesiac

You’re my consciences consort

You feed me all sorts of facts

That puts my life into context

With you I feel safer than sound

I can’t imagine what’ll happen next

But I’ll feel better with you around

-

You whisper in my ear

When all lights are fading

And when I don’t know

What I should do next (when the fear sets in)

You tell me it’ll be light again

When I feel the my heart wading

And when I don’t know

What next to expect

You tell me it’ll all be fine

Just give it a little time

If you say its so then I’ll believe it all

You’ve never lied to me before

-

You’ve kept my heart from straying

You’ve proved your worth

Just how long will you be staying

For you I’d move the earth

You’ve done so much for me

Now it’s time I do the same for you

I’ll do any kind deed

I’ll do whatever if you need proof
