Cradled cobwebs
But the robbers still got to them
So fragile, so easily torn,
Shattered like crystal blue wine glasses
Too many sitting ducks at bars
Not enough common-sense-bullets to the skull
The world is a vast s pace
Filled with polluted stars and cancer clouds of smoke
Surgeon general warns us
Every butterfly was once a cocoon
A single glacier of ice and snow
A nobody-nothing-at-all.
Kids still somehow read the words
Written and bleeding all over the front page
They're small and don't understand
Why "Happily Ever After" isn't said at the end.
