She runs out of fear
Through the forest of night
Voices shout from behind her
And she stops, frozen in place
Silence, the voices had gone
Leaving her alone in the darkness

She continues on through the darkness
Her hands tremble in fear
As they reach out in the night
Someone calls out to her
And she runs from the place
Where she had been, till they’re gone

Everything that she once had was gone
For it had been consumed by the darkness
She continues running in fear
Afraid to be found in the night
Afraid to run into someone of her
Past, and afraid to go back to that place

Her home was once that place
But now it was long gone
Destroyed by the darkness
On a tragic moonless night
Causing the other villagers fear
And now they blame her

But it wasn’t her
And now she runs to a place
Where she can hide and be gone
From them, from the darkness
That consumes the night
And causes her to tremble in fear

A light from ahead melts her fear
And she runs toward her
To the heavenly place
Where all hate and evil is gone
Where light kills the darkness
And where morning replaces night

Everything has gone into the night
For an angel of that place rids the fear
Of the darkness that had once devoured her
