Alone in the darkness I wander,
Lost in the darkness I ponder,
The fate which I have been given.
When I try to come out of the dark,
The people of the light just stare.
None of them understand me,
All they do is judge.
So to me the dark becomes comfort.
Away from the gaze of the jaded.
Only under the moon do I leave my shelter.
To walk among the people of the night.
They look upon me with envy,
But with ignorance not true understanding.
I wish that I could find just one,
Who looks and finds the true me,
Hidden deep within the shadows of myself.
Just one who could shine light,
Which does not sear my skin.
One, that with, I may find Peace.
Outside the Darkness.
