As much as I know,
I should say what's on my mind,
I choke on the words,
And hesitate over the oblivion I find.
And, you on my skin,
Would be the greatest sin,
But the worst of reminders,
That I could never say,
That I... no, not today.
As it is, I was too late,
And, your life wouldn't wait,
You left, and I choke on the thought,
And all the happiness you brought.
I guess I should have told you,
…It's really nothing new,
And hopefully quite apparent
That I'm in love with you.
