I drew close to my dream

Only to realize that this star was aflame

And it was ashes falling on me not rain

Now here I sit in their warm embrace

And stare around me in desolation

What to do now?

I wander this grey landscape

Like a zombie in chains

Step

Step

Step

I cry from vacant eyes

For eyes rotted long ago

And ran over my face

Morbid tears of defeat

But still I walk

Step

Step

Step

What is it that keeps me up?

Why do I not just lay down and die?

But something inside me refuses to yield

Despite every reason to do so

And the withering wind blows flesh away

Step

Step

Step
