When autumns eyes have closed at last

The Winters Queen comes dancing past

And with her breath time does freeze

The streams, the fields, the falling leaves

Snow drifts softly to muffle sound

And cushion her footsteps on the ground

All the animals bow down low

And wait for Winters Queen to go

But I, the fool, I raised my head

And to all else my soul was dead

For in her eyes I became entranced

And like the wind, with winter danced

I followed her to winters home

Far in the north where glaciers roam

If it meant death I did not care

I'd follow winter anywhere

But she took pity on this foolish man

And let me walk where none others can

She placed a kiss upon my face

And now with her I dance with grace

And here I will forever stay

To greet each glorious frozen day
