Wow! I found this as I was cleaning out my computer files today. I wrote this story as an assignment for health class in junior high. We were leaning about bullies appearantly!! lol.

The Bully

“So, Max, how was school today?” Mrs. Schutzer asked her son one afternoon. “It was great, mom.” Max replied. A few minutes later Mr. Schutzer came home. When he got home, Max told him how his day went. “…and that Kevin is such a wimp!” he said when finished. While Max was talking, his father was watching a basketball game, “That ball wasn’t out! Oh, I guess you had an interesting day, Max.”

The next day at school was a bad one. When Max got there, he met up with his buds, Mark and Matt. They call themselves the M-Dawgs. “What’s up, Shorty?” they asked Bobby while he was getting a drink. “What are you trying to do? Grow!?” Bobby Simmons is the shortest in his class. “What do you want, Max?” he asked. Max pushed him and said, “That’s M-Dawg to you, Shrimpo!” The M-Dawgs walked away laughing.

Max had bumped into Kevin Clouse in the hallway. He is a straight-A student. “So, do you got my book report done yet, Nerd Boy?” Max began to say. Kevin said, “Yes, Ma…I mean M-Dawg; it’s finished.” And handed him the report. “Good boy”, Max said and knocked his books down laughing hysterically.

Later on at lunch, the M-Dawgs were talking out plans. Max says he is in the mood to pick on a girl. “How about that Melissa Rodrigous, the quiet one?” Matt suggested. “The one who smells bad?” Mark asked confused. “No, Mark. Melissa…that one,” said Max pointing across the room. Then they got up and went over to her. She was sitting alone as usual enjoying her lunch. “Hey Weirdo,” Max said to her, “how do you pronounce your last name again….Rodgers or Wacky?” he asked laughing. When he was laughing, Principal Tardy walked by. “What seems so funny, Maxwell?” she asked. “Oh, just introducing myself to Melissa here,” he replied. Mrs. Tardy told him she would like to see him alone after school. Mark and Matt started laughing, “What are you two dorks laughing about?” Max yelled.

In Principal Tardy’s office, things didn’t go well. “Max, I see your grades have gone up,” she started. “That’s a bad thing?” said Max in a nasty way. “I have talked to Kevin Clouse about his and your handwriting,” she began and Max had a dumbfounded face on. “I see they are similar. He told me everything; about you teasing him and other students. They are tired of it. I am very disappointed in you. I think you have something to say,” she asked. Still having a dumbfounded face on, Max said, “I am so sorry. I haven’t had the time at home to do homework, so I paid Kevin to do it,” he lied. “I would like to have a meeting with your parents tomorrow,” Principal Tardy said.

At home his parents had already gotten a letter. “Maxwell!” Mrs. Schutzer yelled across the house. “Sounds like you made her mad,” said Mr. Schutzer scared. “What’s all this about you bullying people, Max?” his mother began. Crying, Max said, “I didn’t mean to make them feel bad, just aggravated.” “Maxwell, I won’t be surprised if you get suspended tomorrow.” I am…we are disappointed in you very much. Right, honey?” she asked her husband. “Yeah, sure,” he said not caring.

At the meeting, only Mrs. Tardy and Mrs. Schutzer talked. “I think one week should teach him a lesson, Mrs. Schutzer,” Mrs. Tardy said. “I’ll have Kevin bring his homework. Is that okay with you, Maxwell?” she asked. “I guess so,” replied Max. From that day on, Maxwell Schutzer didn’t bully anybody anymore.
