Wish Upon A Firework Show

As I watched the glowing fireworks

And listened to their pounding “booms”,

My thoughts went back to the night

When I first met you.

I know that wasn’t too long ago,

But it’s amazing at how fast

Our friendship did grow.

As I watched the fireworks,

A frown slid onto my face

And I wished that

We had met

At a different time and place.
