Hero

Some say that a hero is someone you read about in a comic book

Like Superman, Batman, and Iron Man.

Who go around in their cities

Putting the villians in their place.

Some say that a hero has to have super powers

To even be called that.

The power of X-Ray vision, super heat or strength.

They can fly without falling

And save man kind.

But as for me,

I've got a different type a hero.

Men and women who aren't afraid to stand up

For their country and their homes.

Who leave their families to go over seas

And to fight for the freedoms of all mankind.

Who aren't afraid to stand and to defend

For what they believe in.

Wheither it's for days, weeks, months, or years,

They always are ready for the call

To come in and take them to do their jobs.

They never back down from their duities

Even if they aren't supported, they'll always defend.

They are the defenders of the USA

The real heroes in my world.

The men and woman

Of the US Military.

Who will always fight

For what they believe in.
