We grew up knowing right from wrong.
But taught ourselves to forget the right.
--
We grew up knowing there is a God,
But taught ourselves to doubt.
--
We grew up knowing how to eat,
But taught ourselves to be gluttons.
--
We grew up obeying our mother and father,
But taught ourselves to disobey.
--
We grew up listening to morals,
But taught ourselves to ignore them.
--
The moral of the story,
Don't blame others for who you are.
