I’m so sorry, it took forever to get this chapter out. First off, I didn’t have time to write it cause of school, and then, I was sick. Might have been a small bout of writer’s block mixed in with all that.

Also, it seems I have a case of the infamous writer’s block. And so, I’m sorry if the next few chapters suck.

Vampire Butter Beans- It does, it does. Patience. Soon ALL will be answered. Maybe.

JtheChosen1- You do? Great! It was a last moment kind of thing, actually.

Lady Sorrow- hi. I’m really glad you liked the chapter, and I’m glad I answered some of your questions. Now that I think about it, it does kind of remind me of that.

Cobraqueen17- Sorry about the confusion, but it should clear up pretty soon, sort of.

Thanks for the reviews!

I haven’t had that dream for quite a while. I can’t really tell if it’s precognition, dreaming, or my subconscious trying to make feel really guilty.

The person who said that the future was set in stone is very, very wrong. It can change, just like that.

I’ve managed to prove it many times over. It seems whenever I tell someone about what’s going to happen, or try to change the future, something bad happens. I mentioned that to Mr. Vardens, but he said I didn’t have to worry about that.

I fell asleep pretty quickly, which was weird because I had too much going on in my head. Still do, actually, and it’s giving me one hell of a headache.

I’m not really all that sure if I can help. I mean, I’ve never really tried to use my power before, and I’ve never really looked for something as specific as what they’re looking for.

"Get UP!" I jumped, and fell off the bed. I might have squeaked, I’m not sure.

"What the hell!" I yelled towards the voice that had scared me, and noticed it was Adam.

"Come on, its time to go."

"Go?" I asked, confused.

"To the other institute, idiot, now get ready. We’re leaving in a few minutes." Well, I pretty much am ready, since I didn’t bring anything with me. You know, it would have been really nice if they’d told me that I was supposed to bring something.

We’d finally left, and were being driven to the institute. I tried asking Adam more questions about it, but he’d ignored me for the most part, except to tell me to shut up.

A few minutes of driving got us out of the city and into the countryside. The ride was pretty boring considering all I could do was look outside the window, and that wasn’t so fun because it kept me occupied for only a little while.

I thought about pestering Adam again, but I decided against it. I just wasn’t in the mood. He was another thing that was on my mind last night.

What was he doing here, and how long has he been here? I mean, I'm pretty sure he has an ability, since I had first hand experience with it when we first met. Cryokinesis. The ability to control ice. Then again, I might be wrong, and it was something else. It very well could be, I just need something to explain the fact that I almost got frostburn on my feet. Maybe I should ask him? Nah, not right now anyway.

I wonder if people who work for Mr. Vardens actually have a life, or if they’re just shut up all the time. That would be something that’d I absolutely hate, you know?

From what I’ve seen, Adam has been working here for at least a few years, though he doesn’t seem that old. He’s just a bit taller than I am, maybe a few inches, and he’s a little broader. His hair is blond and short, and has bright blue eyes. He’s the kind of guy who would be football captain in high school that has all the girls chasing after him. Or at least, so it seems.

Mr. Vardens said I was going to have to be on a team, but he didn’t say who the other people were going to be.

I’d been thinking about this when I noticed that we were going down a small gravel road, heading towards the woods a little way away. There was a city not to far away from it.

Farther into the woods, along the city, I saw where we were headed. We went through a rickety old gate that the car almost didn’t fit through.

It was a big, old, private school looking building. We were coming in from the back, and drove around to the front. The whole place looked like it was going to collapse any moment. Seemed deserted too.

When we came up to the front, I noticed a road leading away through an even bigger gate, probably the main entrance. The building was fenced in by brick walls. Kind of reminds me of something out of a movie.

We pulled up into a big garage that had all types of other cars in it.

Then we walked back up to the front door, which was opened by an old man in black.

Sorry, this chapter’s mostly filler, but the story will pick up soon enough.

Writer’s block isn’t the only thing keeping me from writing this story. I just haven’t really been feeling like it. Thing is, whenever I do actually feel like it, I’m far away from my computer, and I don’t have much of a chance getting to until a few hours later, which is when I don’t feel like writing any more.

One more thing (I’m just telling you all a whole bunch of excuses, aren’t I?) When I finished writing this chapter, my computer broke, but I managed to get this chapter onto another computer after a lot of brainstorming.

I think I might get another chapter out tonight or tomorrow, depends.
