The Angel in White

Dark clouds gathered overhead

Warning for the gloom that was soon to come.

Oblivious, naive, I was then.

She was beautiful

Like an angel; in white

She danced, not walked;

In her own world, forever.

I admired from afar

As she glowed in the darkness, like candlelight.

She was different, special;

An adventure, a mystery.

That night I stared from the distance,

I marvelled in her unique beauty;

Her delightful laughter, like clinking glass.

And I wondered, and I wondered...

And in my wonderment I lost her

I lost her before I even had her.

Now,

She's gone.

Forever.
