Grey clouds hang low
Warm air turns freezing
Rain drops falling by the second now
As Thunder echoes across the land
Little children run and hide
Windows glowing in the dark
Embers burn softly nesting in the fire place
Deathly pale faces stare out into the storm
Only to see monsters reflected back
False prophets explore the world looking for new victims
True believers search for hope
Innocent children let loose imagination
Elders notice their reality falling to pieces
Untold horrors lie ahead
And we finally realize we are not alone on this earth
Always changing ever growing population
Every day's another war
Both at home and a far
People at war with themselves often use psychological warfare tactics
Fear and hate ravage the land
Tortured people left with devastating losses
Just another day gone by
Pain and suffering now part of our every day life
Smiles once so pure, full of innocence, now used to hide peoples true feelings
Every day prayers of hope and peace go unheard
Stories of heroes get past down from generation to generation
Heroic adventures retold again and again
Children filling with false hopes and a false sense of security
There's no hero, no savior this time
Over run by panic and chaos
Reason & logic give way to instincts
Famine, death, violence, creativity and anger break out in every direction
Man kind, what we once were, is no longer
We have become something inexplicable
We have been refined into something inhuman and animal like
What was, is no longer
What is, will not survive
This is the life and these are the times
A state of emergency is issued but it's too late
We're too far gone to be saved
Pulse pounding, heart beat racing, lungs about to explode, organs on the verge of shutting down
This is the time, this is the place
We are the fall of man kind
Diluted by our fantasies we begin losing hope, knowing this is our life
Grab my hand and hold on tight, don't forget to breath
Let what ever will come, come our way
We'll take it on together
We just might make it through
Me and you
