i don't think those adaptations
are too nautical

certain to kick up
unwelcomed turbulence despite your
sweet proportioned tail

as to buoyancy
few marine creatures employ dual
flotation devices; but...

jellyfish trail
stinging tentacles long and deep
and a staring sailor's

soon ensnared...ah,
i see...it's another perfect example of
clever evolution at work

those poor argonauts
stuffed ears or no, it's obvious that they
never had a chance
