OOooOOooOOooOO

-

You didn’t hug me.

You didn’t hold me tight.

Plead for them to let me go.

Whisper in my ear

Give me a secret we could share.

-

You just let me walk

Up to the rope

Swinging in the wind

Mount the wooden stairs.

Step on to the platform

For all to see.

To laugh.

To stare.

To tease.

-

I didn’t hear you cry out my name

From the crowds standing below.

Didn’t say a thing,

As the rope slipped around my neck

No tears of tragedy

Slipped down your perfect cheeks

As they tightened it to my throat.

-

But I didn’t care about the rope

I knew I would die in the end

But you stuck a knife into my soul

Twisted it with pleasure.

Watched in joy as I stood their,

For all to see.

To laugh.

To stare.

To tease.

-

So now I wait,

As the minutes past,

Till my neck takes the weight

And it snaps

And I fall

And I can haunt you

Watch your every step

-

So hear me

Hear me loud and clear.

Don’t let your mind go to sleep

Don’t let it wander

For you will see me standing there.

Next to you on the wooden platform.

For all to see.

To laugh.

To stare.

To tease.

To kill.
