Prologue

Ele: Yeah… I thought of this story and suggested it to Mar, so I hope you guys enjoy it.

Tab: Wait… Ele thought of a story?

Ele: Yeah believe it or not asshole. I was inspired by the short story by Suena.

Tab: Go figure.

Kla: Shut up, let Ele explain.

Ele: Well lets picture it kind of like a story of how Mar could live, or like an alternate life she kind of lives. It has all of our lives kind of combined as well.

Tab: Oh goodie.

Mar: Starting now…

It was night, and she was only sixteen when her virginity was taken and she could already feel the growth of her child in her belly. She was positive of it from the morning sickness she had felt already. The year was in the 1500s, far away from the modern time she never thought of. Her name was Isabella; her home was but an empty alleyway with boxes around her for shelter. She clutched her flat belly, knowing in nine months she would have a child with no father beside them.

Isabella laid flat against the stone ground, placing her hand on it to feel the cold of the night absorbed in the stone. Her fingers slowly spread out against the stone, brushing it with her fingernails. She was so absorbed in the cold night that she could hardly hear the tap of a pair of shoes against the stone, coming towards her. Only when the foot kicked her did she look up at a pair of wizard eyes.

“Still in the low, girl?” the woman asked. Isabella stayed against her cold ground, looking up at an old woman with shaggy gray hair hanging down in front of her face. “Well? Answer me!” her accent was a very thick British, a tooth sticking out and hanging out over her bottom lip. Isabella turned her head away, gazing at the opposite wall.

“I see. So far you have not done any good for yourself. I shall have to teach you a lesson then.” The woman bent down so that her knees were visible in Isabella’s eyesight. “You shall give birth to a gal. Your children shall thus give birth to another gal, until at last one discovers love. No child shall be born.” The old woman cackled, she flicked a finger at the shocked Isabella’s nose and dragged her yellow nails across Isabella’s stomach. Isabella screamed, her eyes sealed shut as the nails dug into her skin. When the pain ceased she opened her eyes, the woman gone.

The pain was faint, making Isabella panic and glance at her stomach, her shirt was ripped by the nails. She quickly lifted it, looking desperately for scars…. There were none. She ran her hand

across her belly, feeling for any tear in the skin; none. She looked at her hand for any blood and gasped. A faint pink line showed going from the tip of her index finger to the middle of her palm, followed with two other parallel lines ending near the palm. She ran her other hand across the lines, thick enough to seem like her own finger nails scarred her.

It didn’t make sense; it was as if the lines were birth marks in her skin, not a crease from the lines. Isabella sat up, her back against the wall as she stared at the lines. She placed her hands down back on the stone her mind buzzing over what had just occurred. A witch had cursed her; she tried desperately to recall the spell the witch had chanted. Isabella’s eyes widened and her hands flew to her belly, her mind making it seem like the baby’s heart beat was already present. She would give birth to a girl, a girl who would give birth to yet another girl. Until finally one girl would feel love; one thing Isabella thought never existed in any lifetime. She gently rubbed her belly… one who would fall in love. It made her wonder which one would be the one, her ancestor, the first of her family to fall in love. She thanked the witch in her mind, lying against the stone once again, welcoming the cold night as it engulfed her and her unborn daughter.

Ele: Do you guys like… so far at least?

Tab: I dunno, I’m pretty curious on who will be the one who stops the curse.

Nic: WAIT! The one who falls in love won’t have a child? LUCKY!!

Ele: shut up Nic.

Kla: Yeah it was pretty interesting.
