Everything’s gonna come
Whether we decide it or not.
Let’s crack open those bottles of rum!
It just might be our last shot.

At least, that was what I used to think
Until reality settled on getting me back.
It gave me a wink
Before it stuffed me in its sack.

It threw me into the melee
Of where my brothers skirmish
But as far as I could see
They were fighting against the Lord’s wish.

People cut in half
The buildings collapsing like butter
The screams, the cries, the Devil’s laugh
Humanity draining into the gutter…

My eyes burnt with the sights
Calamity never seemed so bitter
Black monstrosities against the orange lights
Paralyzed my heart’s twitter.

Everything’s inevitable
Yes, that’s what I said
I chose to ignore the probable
Now I only see red.

There's barely a blink
Before my legacy disappears
Snap, goes life's last link
Now all I have are fears.

I feel myself coming apart
My mask cracking open
Thump, the last beat of my heart
As I, too, seem to have never been…

Yesh, I was quite lazy at the end and you have every right to flame. However, the first two stanzas were genius, if I do say so myself. XD I hope you liked it.
