Ring Rebellion: Book 1

The Windswept Plains

Prologue

In 2050 A.D the world is at war. The people of the world were desperate for an end to the conflict. One day a miracle happened; for reasons unknown a bright light shined in the sky and 31 rings fell from the sky and each with their own unique power. The rings chose bearers for them that would hopefully change the world for the better and for a time they did. The rings brought with them ancient knowledge that had been forgotten and denounced as myth. No one ever knew where the rings had come from; many declared them to be a gift from God and as such they were called the Sacred Rings.

But peace can never last, and power always corrupts. Adam Mikial the Bearer of the Ring of Control; a ring whose original purpose was to use other rings until suitable Bearer was found; discovered that his ring could dominate the wills of others. He began to use his ring to establish power; he felt that if he could unite the world under one rule; peace would finally be realized. It was his actions that created the first Cursed Ring and with his power and influence other Ring Bearers soon followed.

For over a century there was a great war between the Sacred and Cursed Ring Bearers, their battles reshaped the world anew. But sadly Adam with the power of his ring forced others under his control until only five Sacred Rings and one Sacred Ring Bearer were left. Isaiah the last Sacred Ring Bearer realizing the war was lost fled with the remaining four rings; hoping that one day their bearers will be born.

And with this Adam crowned himself Lord Mikial and for centuries the world was under his rule; for Ring Bearers cannot die unless they are killed by a deathblow to the heart or head and time will stop for them. But unknown to him one Sacred Ring Bearer has been awakened and soon three more shall be awakened as well and the great Ring Wars shall begin anew.

Well so it begins, this idea has been nagging me for a while and I finally got the courage to write and post it. So good, bad just let me know.
