Crash Catastrophe

-

You and I are on a collision course

I see such a force trapped within

Breathlessly ensnared in a pent up rage

I feel the blood coarse

Surging towards my skin

Just as the adrenalin releases me from my cage

My vision blurs just for a second

And my muscles engage

So the blood is then beckoned

For this fight or flight phase

Here we go

-

So we come crashing towards

Our collision course

Like gods of war

Fists clenched and locked jaws

And for a moment

Our hearts beat as one

Like an unholy drum

Rigged to blow

And as time goes slow

You and I collide

In this crash catastrophe

Fists fracturing

Jaws breaking

Flesh torn

And the blood born brawl

Ends with two falls

-

You and I are sprawled out on the floor

Bleeding internally

Coughing up blood and lung

What was the fight for

The grudge of eternity

Is a game for the young and stupid

We certainly fit the bill

Stuck on the killing path

Out for the blood to spill

You really have to laugh about it

Laugh with me
