I’m just a kid
Walking through a rain shower
There’s nothing to be hid
So don’t give me that kind of glower.

I’m just a little curious
About the little beasts and creatures
Wandering about, so stop being imperious
I rarely listen to your lectures.

I’m just a little ecstatic
Or maybe not. But why do you care?
Just look at all the fantastic
Rabbits! And look at that flying bear!

I’m just a little wet
But don’t worry, the kelpies can’t get me
See me dodge so nimbly without fret
Honestly, can’t they see?

I’m just exploring
Every kid needs some of that
Otherwise we’d all end up boring
And as smart as a mat.

I’m just having a little walk
Through this wacky little park
So what if I stepped in something that makes you balk?
There are worse things in the dark.

I’m just looking for a new animal
There’s so many, don’t you agree?
I’ll make sure it isn’t too primal
And since you ask, I’ll look at its pedigree.

I’m just doing a little learning
About all these magic places
This is something you’ve been adjourning
Well, I’m now walking on different paces.

I’m just seeing the world with my own eyes
And when I get home, make me some of your pies?
