Spring Break Woes

Chapter One.

(summary on profile.)

My spring break was going to suck. Big time.

I was supposed to spend it out on the beach with my two favorite cousins. Instead, we had to be counselors at Bible Camp. Who the fuck sends their kids to Bible Camp during spring break? I mean sure, it was Easter, but shouldn’t we be spending our well deserved break having fun and not talking about Jesus?

I had my spring break all planned out too. I was going to go to the beach, hang out by the pool, meet some guys, and finally lose my virginity.

I was a senior in high school, 18 years old and still a virgin. There was something wrong with that.

Worse than that, I was the only one of my friends that was still a virgin. Most of them had lost it last year or the year before that, but not me. Sure I had dated guys, but I wasn’t interested in going horizontal with them. Although that was definitely what they wanted.

But my plans of that went down the tubes, when my aunt told us we had to be counselors. There was definitely no way I was going to lose it now, even if there were hot guys there. If they were counselors there it probably meant that they were saving it for marriage. I guess I was going to stay a virgin forever.

By the time we finally arrived in San Clemente at my aunt’s house, it was dark and most people were in bed.

It probably didn’t help that we hadn’t left San Francisco until 8 at night. We were planning on leaving at 4 in the morning, but we all overslept and didn’t get up until around 10. The only reason we got up then was because my grandpa called because we never came to pick him up in the morning. Since we didn’t leave early enough we decided to not leave until night. There was no way in hell we were getting stuck in L.A. traffic at comminute time. Although, traffic in L.A. is always bad.

Surprisingly, when we got there, the lights were on in my aunt’s house. My Aunt Amelia wrapped us all in a hug as we came through the door.

“Hey dad how was your trip?” she asked my grandpa. My grandpa mumbled a reply and headed off to the guest room.

“Grandpa was asleep almost the entire time,” I told my aunt.

“Madison!” she cried and embraced me in a big bear hug.

“Hey Aunt Amelia. Where’s Madeline and Kaylee?” I asked glancing around the living room looking for them.

“Oh, they were getting there rooms ready,” my aunt replied. “Hailey, you’ll be in Kaylee’s room and Madison and Trinity will be with Madeline in her room.”

“What about me?” my cousin asked.

“Oh, right. Sorry Chase, but you’ll either have to share a room with grandpa, your mom or you can get the couch.”

“I’ll take the couch,” Chase said with a slight shudder. I didn’t blame him. Grandpa snored loudly and what 20 year old guy wants to share a room with his mom?

“Since that’s settled, I’m off to bed,” my Aunt Amelia said and proceeded to yawn. She walked over to the couch and nudged my Uncle Chris. “Chris, lets go to bed.”

My uncle slowly got up and gave a small wave to everyone before following my aunt up the stairs.

“I’ll see you in the morning kids,” my Aunt Hailey said before walking down the hall to her room. A minute later Kaylee appeared at the top of the stairs with a pile of blankets in her arms.

“Hey guys,” she said as she walked down the stairs. “These are for you Chase.” Chase mumbled a reply and started making his bed.

“Can you go now?” he asked.

“Alright, alright. We’re going,” Trinity said and we started walking up the stairs. We made a left at the top of the stairs and walked into Madeline’s room.

“Hey Mads!” she cried as I walked over to her.

“Maddy!” I screeched as she pulled me into a hug. Trinity merely pushed her side bangs out of the way and rolled her eyes.

“You guys, I’m tired and I really don’t want to hear you screeching and laughing. I want to go to bed,” Trinity said.

I disentangled myself from Madeline and walked over to her bed. Trinity grabbed her night clothes and walked into the bathroom without another word. Maddy rolled her eyes and jumped on her bed.

“Still the same as ever I see,” Maddy said, in reference to Trinity.

“I doubt she’ll every change. When she tries to sneak out and smoke, get Chase. He’ll stop her,” I said.

“Still smoking?” she asked and I nodded my head. “I thought she would have stopped already. It hasn’t been that long since I’ve seen you though.”

Madeline had come up in December to surprise me for my 18th birthday. By that time, Trinity had already been smoking for 5 months.

“Yeah, but you know how she is. She’ll get bored of it eventually.” I told her as I heard the bathroom door open.

“Who is sleeping where?” Trinity asked as she yawned, and dumped her clothes on her suitcase.

“I’m keeping my bed, Kaylee will sleep on the floor like always, and I bet Mads wants the bed, so you get the floor,” Maddy said.

“Whatever. Just get me some blankets,” Trinity replied. Kaylee threw a pile of blankets at her, and jumped on the bed.

Kaylee was only 12 years old, but acted older than that sometimes. Her shoulder length brown hair, and brown eyes gave off the look of innocence. Her tanned skin, though, showed how much time she spent outside in the never-ending sun of Southern California.

Unsurprisingly, she looked a lot like Maddy, but Maddy had drastically changed her look over the years. Her once short brown hair had been grown out and dyed black, her skin was a lighter color then Kaylee’s skin, but Maddy still had a tan. Kaylee and Maddy shared the same brown eyes, though they were different when you stared at them for a long time. When you looked closely at Maddy’s eyes, you could see how depressed she actually was, although she tried to hide. If you took one look at the underside of her left arm, beneath the bracelets that adorned her wrist, you could see the faint lines there.

That was the thing that killed me about her. Those thin lines had once seemed innocent, when there were only a few. But as months progressed, she got even more depressed and the lines became deeper and thicker. I hated thinking and talking about it.

“I’m pooped guys,” I said as I rolled onto my stomach.

“Ugh. Me too,” Kaylee said as she made her bed on the floor.

Trinity was already asleep and Maddy was staring blankly into space. Her eyes had a faraway look that usually meant she was too absorbed in whatever she was thinking to pay attention to us.

“Maddy, can you turn the lights out?” I asked as I pulled the covers on top of me.

“What? Oh, ah sure,” she replied as she reached over and turned the light off. Darkness filled the room, and I rolled onto my side, facing away from Madeline.

“Night,” I mumbled to them, and quickly fell asleep.

I was woken up way too early. My aunt barged into the room and turned the light on, revealing that it was 6:30 in the morning. Everyone groaned and buried their heads in their pillows.

“Come on! Get up!” she yelled, walking around and ripping the covers off of us.

“Mom,” Maddy whined, “go away. Its too early and we aren’t doing anything.”

“That’s where you are wrong. Did I forget to tell you?” she said grinning.

“Tell us what?” Kaylee demanded, rubbing her eyes.

“That you all are going to Bible Camp? Well, everyone but Kaylee will be a counselor. Sorry Kay, but they said you’re still too young to be a counselor, so you’ll be stuck with the other kids.”

“Are you fucking serious!?” Maddy burst out.

“Completely. You should get up now, it starts at 8:30 and you all take forever to get ready.” With that my aunt turned and walked out of the room.

Started a new story, even though the others haven’t been updated in over a year. Oh well. Ok, so for now this story will be a T rating, but I’m thinking its going to go up to a M rating, because I think I’m going to actually write the sex scene(s) and not leave it vague. This is the very short first chapter, which I planned to make bigger but I was too excited and I wanted it posted asap. Next chapter should hopefully be up soon, check out my profile for news.

Oh, and this is poorly edited, so please excuse the errors. I was too impatient to get it edited by someone, but the revised copy should be up soon.

Review please (constructive criticsm welcome) ,

Alicia
