scratching hearts along my headboard
as you arise along with the sun.
miles seperate us from coast to coast
but every night your face doesn't leave my mind;
because i know youre out there
and i can't wait to lay my eyes on you
my plum polish is chipping off and
these hearts are beginning to make their mark
i just wish you were here
three thousand miles away
but you seem so much closer
and someday, you know you will
hush my lips, find your place in my arms,
we could fit better than two hands folded together.
when i sleep tonight,
i'll dream of gazing into your eyes for the very first time
scratching hearts on my headboard,
and my iris is forming into the shape of a star
three thousand miles and a couple of seas
can seperate us
but i still want you here.
